I'm fundraising for Vision Australia
This year, GTB Engineering staff & other dedicated members of the community have made the decision to partake in the Mareeba & Dimbulah Community Bank Great Wheelbarrow Race, scheduled to take place from the 10th to the 12th of May.
Our inspiration for joining the Great Wheelbarrow Race this year stems from our daughter and granddaughter, Lucy. Lucy was born with a rare genetic condition known as Leber’s Congenital Amaurosis (LCA). LCA leads to early onset childhood blindness affecting only 1 in 50,000 births. Lucy lights up the lives of everyone she encounters with her infectious joy and spirit.
It is our collective goal to raise awareness about living with blindness or low vision and to raise funds for an organisation that has been a major source of support for Lucy and her family - Vision Australia.
Vision Australia is an organisation that offers assistance to individuals who are blind or visually impaired, empowering them to lead the lives they choose.
We humbly appeal to you for your generous donation towards our fundraising efforts for Vision Australia. Your contribution will play a role in enabling Vision Australia to continue its exemplary work, providing essential support to families like Lucy’s as they navigate the world of blindness and visual impairment.
Your generosity and kindness will make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by blindness or low vision. Together, we can create a meaningful impact and support individuals like Lucy.
